The Sony HVL-F28RM External Flash features a 2.4GHz radio transceiver, allowing it to act as either a radio commander or remote in a radio-wireless system consisting of the FA-WRC1M Wireless Radio Commander and the FA-WRR1 Wireless Radio Receiver. This setup offers an operating range of 115 feet and no need for line-of-sight. Moreover, Sony HVL-F28RM External Flash provides support for up to 15 flashes in five groups, with 14 channels available.
